A women named Laura Cunliffe had a kitten named “Mowgli” who supposedly ate her goldfish. The women was beyond angry at this kitten so as punishment she put the kitten in the microwave oven for a minute until it’s internal organs were cooked. When Cunliffe took the kitten out of the oven it was screeching for over an hour in pain until it died. Her lawyer defended her saying that she is mentally ill and stopped taking her medication. She was only in jail for fourteen-weeks. I don’t know how to gather my thoughts on this one. It’s a crazy story and really hard to believe this happened part of me wonders if she has any remorse after the fact. I think that if she’s capable of doing this she is capable of hurting herself or someone else. She needs to get serious help and learn that it’s not normal behavior. The cat wasn’t doing anything out of it’s nature, it’s like a hunting dog. If a hunting dog see’s a bunny it’s going to go after it and kill it because it’s the nature of the animal.
